Ten individuals were apprehended in Ukraine and Moldova following allegations from Kyiv that they were involved in a plot to assassinate high-ranking Ukrainian political figures at the behest of Moscow, with promised rewards of up to $100,000. The Ukrainian capital has previously pointed fingers at Russia for orchestrating assassination attempts targeting various prominent officials, including President Volodymyr Zelensky and the chief of Ukraine’s intelligence agency. Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko disclosed that a joint investigative effort by Ukrainian and Moldovan law enforcement exposed an organized group planning contract killings of notable Ukrainian individuals and foreigners.
