Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is set to present the ‘Ekushey Padak-2026’ during a ceremony in the capital on February 26. As per a press release from the Ministry of Culture, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will hand out the ‘Ekushey Padak-2026’ at Osmani Memorial Auditorium at 11:00 am on February 26. The government has revealed the names of nine distinguished individuals and a music band who will receive the Ekushey Padak-2026, the country’s second-highest civilian honor, in acknowledgment of their remarkable contributions across various domains. The recipients include Farida Akhtar Babita for Film, Professor Md Abdus Sattar for Fine Arts, Marina Tabassum for Architecture, Ayub Bachchu for Music, Arthy Ahmed for Dance, Islam Uddin Palakar for Palagan, Shafik Rehman for Journalism, Professor Dr Mahbubul Alam Majumdar for Education, Tejosh Haldar Josh for Sculpture, and Warfaze for Music Band.
