Renowned presenter and director Hanif Sanket has been incorporating foreign nationals into the popular show “Ityadi” for over thirty years to showcase folk culture, rural sports, history, and address superstitions and social issues.
In the upcoming Eid special episode of “Ityadi,” foreign citizens will once again play a significant role, portraying ordinary villagers and engaging in Bengali performances to convey educational messages through acting, singing, and dancing.
The theme of this year’s episode, as stated in a press release from Fagun Audio Vision, revolves around the decline of humanity due to selfishness and greed. The show humorously presents opportunistic and deceitful characters while also featuring a theme-based song performed by Rajib and Tanzina Ruma, with music direction by Mehedi and choreography by Mamun.
Approximately fifty foreign nationals, including officials and employees from various embassies and international organizations representing countries like Japan, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, and others, participated in this segment.
Hanif Sanket commended the participants for their dedication, highlighting that despite not being professional performers, their commitment and discipline were commendable. He praised their efforts, particularly in mastering a few Bengali words for their roles.
The Eid special episode of “Ityadi” is scheduled to be broadcast on Bangladesh Television after the 8:00 pm Bangla news on the day following Eid. The show, written, directed, and hosted by Hanif Sanket, is produced by Fagun Audio Vision.
