“Genocide in Gaza: Women and Girls Weaponized, Thousands Lost”

-

In the tragic backdrop of the Palestinian genocide, women and girls are being weaponized in the conflict by Israel, backed by the United States. They face a multitude of atrocities including intimidation, violence, displacement, rape, and murder.

According to a 2026 UN Women report, over 22,000 women and 16,000 girls have lost their lives in Gaza due to this genocide, equating to an alarming rate of 47 deaths per day, with two lives lost every hour. This systematic killing of women and girls is a brutal tactic employed within the genocide strategy.

The deliberate targeting of women extends to ensuring the end of future Palestinian generations. Pregnant women face heightened risks due to the destruction of healthcare facilities, resulting in increased maternal mortality rates and a surge in miscarriages.

Moreover, the violence extends to prisons where female detainees endure harsh conditions, including abuse and isolation. Women journalists covering the conflict also face grave dangers, with reports of threats, abuse, and even murder.

As the atrocities against women in the context of genocide persist, the urgent question remains: when will this barbarity end, and who will step in to halt the ongoing crisis in Gaza? In solidarity, efforts are being made to provide humanitarian aid and support to the Palestinian people amidst the genocidal blockade imposed by Israel and the United States.
