France and the United Kingdom are set to hold discussions to establish a “peaceful multinational mission” focused on reestablishing traffic flow in the Strait of Hormuz, as mentioned by French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday. Macron stated that a conference will be arranged in the near future with nations willing to participate in this mission to ensure freedom of navigation in the strait. The mission is intended to be solely defensive in nature and will be activated promptly when conditions allow.
