Biman Bangladesh Airlines has initiated its post-Hajj flight operations, extending a warm welcome to returning pilgrims from Saudi Arabia at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka with floral greetings and sacred Zamzam water. The inaugural return Hajj flight by the national flag carrier, BG336, arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:35 am from Jeddah.
Kaizar Sohel Ahmed, the Managing Director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, greeted the pilgrims upon their arrival at the airport. Also in attendance were Deputy Managing Director and Deputy CEO Syed Moin Uddin Ahmed, Director Customer Service (Acting) Mohiuddin Ahmed, Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Group Captain SM Ragib Samad, and other senior officials.
Similar receptions were organized for pilgrims arriving on Saudia flights. Biman facilitated the transportation of 38,679 Bangladeshi pilgrims to Saudi Arabia this year through 98 flights. As part of the post-Hajj program running from May 30 to June 30, Biman aims to repatriate approximately 39,650 pilgrims on a total of 106 return flights.
Emphasizing its commitment to providing safe, timely, and high-quality passenger services during the Hajj return operations, Biman reaffirmed its dedication as the national flag carrier.
