He noted that BNP, entrusted by the people to govern the country, had promptly signed the July Charter along with other political entities, contrasting this with the hesitancy of opposition groups like Jamaat-e-Islami and the Nationalist Party (NCP) initially.
Stressing BNP’s unwavering commitment to the July Charter, Rahman declared that the party would uphold its obligations outlined in the agreement. He criticized those who had not endorsed the charter despite vocally advocating for its principles, questioning their sincerity.
Furthermore, Rahman underscored BNP’s proactive stance on reforms, citing the party’s early engagement in proposing comprehensive reform plans, starting in 2016 under Khaleda Zia’s leadership.
