Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, who serves as the special assistant to the chief adviser of the interim government focusing on ICT and telecommunications, has left Bangladesh for Germany. This information was confirmed by sources at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. Taiyeb departed on an Emirates Airlines flight (EK-583) as disclosed by an associate. The associate mentioned that Taiyeb had taken leave from his duties on February 9 and 10, receiving a formal farewell from the ICT and Telecom divisions of the ministry. He is now transitioning back to regular life, hence his departure yesterday. Taiyeb was appointed as special assistant to the chief adviser with the rank of a state minister on March 5, 2025. Before this role, in November 2024, Taiyeb, an alumnus of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology with a degree in electrical engineering, was appointed as an ICT policy adviser.
