Sabila Nur, known for her role in “Taandob,” is gearing up for her second film, “Bonolota Express,” directed by Tanim Noor, set to hit theaters this Eid. The movie is an adaptation of Humayun Ahmed’s novel “Kichukkhon.”
In “Bonolota Express,” Sabila portrays Chitra, a pivotal character in the story. Sabila shared her process, stating she delved into the novel multiple times to completely embody the character, having read it around fifteen times before shooting.
Expressing her surprise at landing the role of Chitra, Sabila mentioned that she never imagined portraying this character or seeing the novel come to life on screen. She expressed joy upon receiving the offer from the director.
Reflecting on her filming experience, Sabila described it as extraordinary and fantastic. She emphasized her admiration for Humayun Ahmed’s work, highlighting the honor of acting in a film based on his novel.
When asked about any nerves playing a character well-known to readers, Sabila admitted to feeling some pressure due to audience expectations but mostly felt excitement. She praised her co-stars, particularly Mosharraf Karim, for their guidance and support on set.
Sabila expressed high hopes for the film, anticipating a positive reception from audiences and emphasizing the diverse elements of emotion, comedy, and tragedy it offers. She mentioned undergoing extensive rehearsals for the project, crediting director Tanim Noor for his meticulous approach. Sabila dedicated significant time to prepare for her role as Chitra, ensuring a dedicated portrayal.
