“Prime Bank, Chittagong Port Authority Launch Co-Branded Visa Card”

Prime Bank PLC and the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) have introduced the “CPA-Prime Bank Co-Branded Visa Card” to improve financial convenience and provide advantages to stakeholders within the port ecosystem. The card aims to facilitate smooth transactions, boost operational efficiency, and offer customized financial solutions for individuals and businesses connected to the port community.

The card was unveiled by Rear Admiral SM Moniruzzaman, the chairman of the Chittagong Port Authority, at Sheraton Dhaka on Tuesday. Moniruzzaman expressed confidence that the collaboration with Prime Bank will enhance digital transformation at the port, streamlining the payment system and making business operations more efficient and user-friendly, with added security and transparency for users.

Azam J Chowdhury, chairman of Prime Bank Foundation, and Faisal Rahman, acting CEO of Prime Bank PLC, were present at the launch event. Chowdhury highlighted the significance of partnering with CPA, a key contributor to Bangladesh’s economy, emphasizing the positive impact this collaboration will have on society. He stressed the bank’s commitment to improving people’s lives through innovative initiatives that drive economic development and generate tangible benefits.

Rahman emphasized that the initiative underscores the bank’s dedication to fostering value-driven partnerships that support the growth of critical national infrastructure. Through such collaborations, the bank seeks to enhance efficiency, foster innovation, and contribute to sustainable development in vital sectors, aligning with national priorities to ensure long-term economic advantages and a more resilient infrastructure ecosystem.

The introduction of the CPA-Prime Bank Co-Branded Visa Card showcases Prime Bank’s ongoing commitment to innovation and customer-oriented financial services. The initiative was attended by Sabbir Ahmed, Visa’s country manager for Bangladesh, M Nazeem A Choudhury, additional managing director of Prime Bank PLC, and senior officials from both organizations.
