A tragic incident occurred on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight traveling from Jeddah to Chattogram as a passenger, identified as Sanowara Begum, aged around 55 and hailing from Chattogram, fell seriously ill and passed away during the flight. Due to the emergency, the aircraft made an unexpected landing in Muscat, Oman.
The flight, known as BG136, had departed from Jeddah Airport en route to Chattogram when the passenger’s health deteriorated, prompting the diversion to Muscat. Upon landing, a doctor at the airport confirmed the passenger’s unfortunate demise. Engineer Ibrahim Khalil, the public relations officer of Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport, mentioned that arrangements were being made to repatriate the deceased passenger’s body to Bangladesh with the assistance of the embassy.
Following the removal of the passenger in Muscat, the flight, BG136, resumed its journey to Chattogram and arrived at Shah Amanat International Airport around 2:40 pm. For additional information, individuals are advised to contact Biman Bangladesh Airlines authorities or airport officials.
