Bangladeshi information technology expert and Managing Director of Flora Systems Limited Mustafa Rafiqul Islam, Duke has received multiple prestigious international honors in recognition of his long-standing contributions and innovative leadership in the information technology sector.
Most recently, he was honored at a grand ceremony held at the House of Commons of the British Parliament in the United Kingdom. At the event, the “FloraBank Core Banking Software,” developed under his leadership, received special recognition as one of the world’s leading core banking software solutions.
The honor was formally presented to him by Baroness Manzila Uddin of the House of Lords, British Parliament, who handed over the commemorative award.
At the same ceremony, Maryland State University, USA, conferred upon Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke an Honorary Doctorate in Information Technology as a recognition of his leadership and innovative contributions to global information technology solutions.
Expressing his gratitude, Duke thanked his family, colleagues, mentors, and well-wishers around the world. He stated that this recognition would inspire him to work with greater responsibility and dedication in the future, reaffirming his commitment to contributing to the advancement of global technology with renewed goals and vision.
As part of his UK visit, he also delivered a keynote address at the Thatcher Business Education Centre, University of Oxford, on the topic “The Future of Banking Innovation: Integrating AI and Machine Learning.” His research-based presentation on the future impact and potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in the banking sector received widespread appreciation from international audiences.
