China Urges De-escalation in Middle East Crisis

China has issued a warning against any additional escalation in the Middle East following recent military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran, which retaliated with missile attacks. Beijing’s foreign ministry emphasized the need for an immediate cessation of violence, urging all parties to prevent further escalation of tensions. China stressed the importance of resuming dialogue and negotiations to uphold peace and stability in the region while also emphasizing the necessity to respect Iran’s national sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
