The IGDA GameDev Summer Meetup 2026, organized by IGDA Bangladesh on May 2 at Rise Up Labs, saw a turnout of 60 students, independent developers, and industry professionals for a three-hour session featuring talks, panel discussions, game showcases, and networking opportunities.

Described as the most extensive game developer meetup in Bangladesh to date, the event was arranged by Battery Low Interactive and supported by Rise Up Labs to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange within the country’s evolving games industry.

Minhaz-Us-Salakeen Fahme, the founding president of IGDA Bangladesh and co-founder/CEO of Battery Low Interactive, expressed surprise at the high attendance, highlighting the enthusiasm of the community to engage and connect.

The event commenced with a keynote address by Ershadul Hoque, the founder of Rise Up Labs and a board member of IGDA Bangladesh, reflecting on the growth of Bangladesh’s game development sector and achievements that have positioned local studios alongside global giants like Disney.
