A team from Bangladesh known as CMF eSports has clinched a spot in the Honor of Kings Major League Spring 2026, making them the representatives from South Asia in the professional gaming league. Their entry into the league came after securing consecutive victories in the Honor of Kings Open Series, Split 4 and Split 5, which serves as a platform to scout talented amateur and semi-professional teams for advancement to the official league.
Specializing in the multiplayer battle arena game Honor of Kings, CMF eSports showcased impressive performances throughout the competition. The team’s current lineup includes S M Shubho Ahmed, Arafat Hossain, Sheikh Matiur Rahman, Asif Ahmed Shiam, and Joel Gerald L. Capotulan, with guidance from their Filipino coach, Ken Adrian G. Ofalsa.
The upcoming Honor of Kings Major League Spring season, commencing on March 12, 2026, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, signifies the next phase of CMF eSports’ journey on the regional gaming scene. The Major League has emerged as a pivotal platform for aspiring amateur and semi-professional teams striving to break into the professional circuit. With the tournament format changes implemented in 2025, only one team from each region can secure promotion to the Major League, intensifying the level of competition.
Reflecting on their accomplishment, team member Arafat expressed, “The consecutive titles were the outcome of extensive preparation and team cohesion. We anticipated tougher challenges in the second split but remained dedicated to daily improvement. Winning successive championships underscores the team’s commitment to mastering the game and supporting one another.”
Another player, Shubho, described qualifying for the Major League as a significant milestone for the team and the local esports community. “This qualification holds immense significance for us. It demonstrates that Bangladeshi players can excel at the highest levels of competition. Our objective now is to prepare diligently for the Major League and represent our nation admirably,” he emphasized.
