The Bangladesh U-20 women’s national football team is set to face India in a private friendly match tomorrow as part of their preparations for the upcoming AFC Women’s U-20 Asian Cup in Bangkok.
In anticipation of the game, the team concluded their third training session on Tuesday morning at Boonyachinda Stadium. The training session, lasting 90 minutes, included warm-up exercises, technical passing drills, and a 30-minute intense intra-squad scrimmage, as reported by the Bangladesh Football Federation.
The coaching staff placed a strong emphasis on tactical discipline and refining the game strategy for the match against India. They also worked on clarifying the individual roles and responsibilities of each player.
Speaking about the session, Goalkeeping coach Masud Ahamad Uzzal mentioned that the focus was on preparing for the upcoming match and addressing areas that require enhancement following the Asian Cup. He highlighted the team’s strengths and identified areas needing improvement, aiming to minimize errors.
Uzzal acknowledged that while some players experienced minor discomfort, overall, the team is adapting well despite the challenging weather conditions. He expressed confidence that the players will fully acclimate within the next week, given the intense heat.
After the match with India, Bangladesh will face Jordan before commencing their U-20 Women’s Asian Cup journey. Their fixture lineup includes matches against Thailand on April 1, China on April 4, and Vietnam on April 7.
