Arka Collective has revealed plans for Arka Boishakh 1433, a lively two-day cultural festival that will unite music, cuisine, art, and community in a vibrant setting. Rooted in the customs of Pahela Baishakh, the festival will turn Aloki into a joyous gathering where culture, performance, and local artistic expression will flourish.
Scheduled for 13 and 14 April 2026 at Aloki in Dhaka, the event will kick off at 2:00 PM on the first day and continue until 11:50 PM, followed by a full day of festivities starting at 10:00 AM and concluding at 11:50 PM on the second day.
This April, Arka Boishakh aims to metamorphose the venue into a dynamic cultural hub, merging traditional festivities with innovative creativity. Designed as an inclusive public event, the festival encourages attendees to immerse themselves in Pahela Baishakh through diverse cultural performances, art displays, culinary delights, musical showcases, and active community engagement.
Arka Boishakh epitomizes Arka’s overarching mission of fostering spaces that bring together Bangladesh’s cultural heritage, artistic ingenuity, and youthful vitality. By juxtaposing heritage with contemporary artistic expressions, the festival honors the essence of Bengali culture while staying deeply rooted in tradition.
Attendees can anticipate an engaging atmosphere filled with music, cultural displays, unique marketplace finds, interactive zones, and authentic Baishakhi delicacies, recreating the festive spirit of a traditional Baishakhi mela.
