Bangladeshi music sensation Aurthohin has disclosed a notable modification in its lineup as drummer Mark Don and guitarist Ehtesham Ali announced their departure from the band.
The decision was individually revealed by the two musicians through separate posts on their Facebook accounts on March 5. Subsequently, Aurthohin officially confirmed the lineup change later that day across its social media platforms.
In addition to the departures, the band also unveiled the return of guitarist Shishir Ahmed, who had previously exited the group back in 2023. Joining him are Adnan Atik, taking on the roles of keyboardist and guitarist, and Sheikh M Riaz, who joins as a guest drummer.
Having been a core member of Aurthohin for close to ten years, Mark Don was acknowledged by the band for his decade-long musical journey, with the group expressing that his influence would endure through their future albums and live shows.
Ehtesham Ali, who joined the band in January of the previous year, has now decided to part ways after approximately a year of collaboration.
In response to the lineup adjustments, Aurthohin emphasized that while faces may change, the band’s essence remains unaltered. The group affirmed its intention to re-enter the studio shortly to prepare for upcoming live performances.
Fronted by bassist and vocalist Sumon, affectionately known as Bassbaba by fans, Aurthohin’s current lineup now comprises four members following the recent changes.
