The upcoming film “Bonolota Express” by Tanim Noor, scheduled to premiere this Eid-ul-Fitr, has revealed its first look, generating excitement among viewers. Inspired by Humayun Ahmed’s renowned tale “Kichukhon,” the movie previously unveiled its official poster before showcasing the new teaser.
Unveiled on Wednesday evening, the first look was shared on various social media platforms, including Hoichoi Bangladesh and Buriganga Talkies’ YouTube channels. The visuals depict a nostalgic railway station backdrop, gradually introducing a diverse cast of characters within the context of a train journey. The ensemble includes familiar faces like Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Zakia Bari Mamo, Azmeri Haque Badhan, Intekhaba Dinar, Shyamal Mawla, Sabila Nur, and Sariful Razz, alongside several newcomers.
Sabila Nur is portrayed as a typical Bengali woman in the first look, with Chanchal Chowdhury assuming the role of a minister, Azmeri Haque Badhan as his spouse, and Sariful Razz as a doctor. Mosharraf Karim’s character is depicted in a unique manner within the teaser.
The teaser includes a familiar line from the “Mohanagar” series – “Duita kotha mone rakhbe” – injecting an element of surprise and humor for the audience. The director highlighted that Humayun Ahmed’s narratives often delve into human emotions, silent suffering, and profound compassion. “Bonolota Express” aims to visually translate these sentiments into a journey, capturing the essence of traveling across Bangladesh through a shared train ride.
In addition to its domestic Eid-ul-Fitr release in theaters nationwide, the film will also be shown internationally starting from April 3.
