“Fatal Iranian Military Helicopter Crash at Isfahan Fruit Market”

-

A military helicopter from the Iranian army’s Air Force tragically crashed into a fruit market in Isfahan’s central province, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, as reported by state media. The casualties included the pilot, co-pilot, and two fruit vendors on the ground. The official IRNA news agency attributed the incident to a “technical malfunction.” The unfortunate event occurred in Khomeynishahr city within Isfahan province.

Iran, facing sanctions, has experienced a series of aviation accidents in recent times, largely due to challenges in procuring spare parts to maintain its aging aircraft. In another incident, an Iranian fighter jet crashed during a night training session in Hamedan province, resulting in the loss of one pilot out of the two onboard, according to Iran’s state broadcaster.
