A new cinema named K-Screen Cineplex is ready to debut in Cumilla this upcoming Eid, offering a contemporary movie-watching experience to the city dwellers. Developed by the well-known film producer and leader Khourshed Alam Khosru, the cineplex is situated on the eighth floor of the Gomti Shopping Center within the Cumilla Cantonment Board area.
Featuring two screens with seating capacities of 200 and 250, the cineplex is furnished with an 8:1 sound system and digital cinema projection (DCP) technology. Additionally, it boasts a food court for moviegoers to enjoy. The entire project has been completed at a total cost of Tk 5.5 crore.
Khourshed Alam Khosru, primarily recognized as a film producer, has recently overseen the production of movies like “Golui” and “Insaaf.” Prior to these, he has successfully produced numerous films under his production company, TOT Films.
Expressing his passion for the film industry, Khosru stated, “I have been deeply involved in cinema for more than twenty years, both as a producer and director. Having managed various movie theaters in the past, I understand that today’s audiences prefer watching films in modern, well-equipped cinemas.”
He further mentioned that ticket pricing will be on par with other cineplexes nationwide and emphasized that local films will be prioritized for screenings.
