“Prime Minister Tarique Rahman Marks Historic Day at PMO”

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman commenced his duties at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Tejgaon today at 10:10am, marking the first instance of him doing so on a government holiday. As a gesture of respect, he planted a Magnolia Champaca sapling within the office premises and offered prayers. Subsequently, the prime minister unveiled a special postage stamp commemorating ‘Amar Ekushey’ — Language Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day.

Upon his arrival at the PMO, Prime Minister Rahman was welcomed by Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar and Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman. Before entering the main office building, he engaged in conversations and exchanged greetings with officials and staff members who had previously served under former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia’s administration. Additionally, Tarique interacted with various senior officials and staff members during his visit, engaging in brief discussions with them.
