In the latest round of matches in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL) 2025-26, six centuries were scored along with two five-wicket hauls across five venues on Tuesday.
The standout performance came from skipper Tawhid Hridoy at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, where he scored 101 runs off 106 balls to lead Mohammedan Sporting Club to a 107-run victory over Legends of Rupganj. Mohammedan extended their lead at the top of the table with this win.
Apart from Hridoy, Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Shahadat Hossain Dipu of Prime Bank Cricket Club, Mahidul Islam Ankon of Abahani Limited, Mahfizul Islam Robin of Agrani Bank, and Abdullah Al Mamun of City Club also scored centuries. Mamun, however, ended up on the losing side despite his ton.
In the Mohammedan vs Legends of Rupganj match, Hridoy’s century, along with contributions from Anamul Haque Bijoy and Afif Hossain, helped Mohammedan post a total of 339 for five. Rupganj’s chase started aggressively with Habibur Rahman Sohan’s quick fifty, but they eventually fell short and were bowled out for 232.
Abahani Limited secured a comfortable 173-run victory over Gulshan Cricket Club, thanks to Ankon’s unbeaten century. Gazi Group Cricketers pulled off a thrilling one-wicket win against Dhaka Leopards, while Agrani Bank chased down City Club’s target of 326 with two balls to spare.
Prime Bank’s match against Brothers Union was affected by rain, resulting in Prime Bank winning by 155 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis method. The game between Bashundhara Strikers and Rupganj Tigers Cricket Club was postponed to the reserve day due to wet outfield conditions.
