In Faridpur, a man was fatally attacked, and his brother was injured by their neighbors after a disagreement regarding the placement of a clothesline. The deceased victim, identified as Jewel Ahmed, aged 40, while his younger brother, Sohel Ahmed, aged 24, was taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for treatment.
Residents reported that Md Sarfaraz, aged 55, a paper bag maker, resided in the Goalchamot Mollah Bari Road area with his family. An altercation arose when Sarfaraz’s wife, Moni Begum, tried to install a clothesline along Jewel’s property.
According to witness Sajib Sheikh, Sarfaraz, along with his sons Shahriyar and Rifat, as well as two employees, forcibly entered Jewel’s residence and assaulted both brothers, resulting in Jewel’s tragic death at the hospital.
Authorities from Faridpur Kotwali Police Station, led by Officer-in-Charge Md Shahidul Islam, apprehended Sarfaraz and Moni Begum in connection with the violent incident.
