Google has stated that it will expand the availability of its Search Live feature globally, offering the tool in all supported languages and regions. This development will give users in over 200 countries and territories the ability to engage with search through real-time conversations using voice and camera inputs. The feature is powered by a new audio and voice model called Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, which enhances the natural and intuitive interaction experience. It is designed to work across various languages, enabling users to communicate with the system in their preferred language.
Search Live is seamlessly integrated into the Google app on Android and iOS devices. Users can activate the feature by tapping the Live icon below the search bar, allowing them to ask questions verbally and receive spoken responses. Additionally, the system incorporates visual capabilities, enabling users to utilize their device’s camera to provide additional context for inquiries about objects or tasks in their vicinity. For instance, users can point their camera at an object and receive guidance or suggestions based on the system’s recognition.
Furthermore, users can access the feature through Google Lens, initiating a live conversational interaction while observing real-world scenes through their device.
