Almost half of the cabinet members of the recently established BNP government hail from the Dhaka and Chattogram divisions, with only two ministers representing the Sylhet division. The Dhaka division leads in cabinet representation, boasting four full ministers and eight state ministers, while the Chattogram division is home to nine ministers and two state ministers.
The Rangpur division contributes three ministers and one state minister, and Rajshahi has two ministers and four state ministers. Additionally, Khulna and Barishal each have two ministers and two state ministers, with Mymensingh hosting four state ministers.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman ran for election in both Bogura and Dhaka, successfully retaining his Dhaka-17 seat. Former interim government adviser Khalilur Rahman has also joined the cabinet as a technocrat minister.
