Arijit Singh to Release Unreleased Songs Gradually

-

Renowned singer Arijit Singh, who made headlines with his retirement announcement from playback singing earlier this year, has reassured his fans with a heartfelt message. He revealed that despite stepping away from new assignments, a series of unreleased songs will be gradually unveiled in the upcoming months.

The update follows Arijit’s recent declaration of his decision to refrain from taking on fresh playback projects, a move that left many of his admirers disheartened.

In a personal note shared on his private X account, Arijit directly addressed his listeners, expressing his gratitude and affection. He emphasized his ongoing commitment to complete pending tracks, assuring fans that the unreleased music will be made available progressively throughout the year and possibly into the next. Encouraging his supporters to remain composed, he advised them to disconnect from social media, engage in reading, embrace love, and practice meditation. He closed with a contemplative note, “And who knows what the future holds?”

The announcement sparked enthusiasm among fans anticipating the upcoming releases. Discussions arose speculating about the potential extension of enjoying his soulful voice for another year and pondering the cryptic reference to the future, with some suggesting a potential comeback to playback singing. Observers also noted that previous conjecture surrounding a “U-turn” following the release of “Ek Din” may have prompted this clarification.

Arijit’s retirement decision was officially disclosed on January 27 through a message on X, where he expressed gratitude for the enduring support of his fans and reflected on his remarkable journey in the industry.

Shortly after the retirement announcement, Bollywood star Aamir Khan paid a visit to Arijit in his hometown to collaborate on the title track for his son Junaid Khan’s upcoming movie, “Ek Din.” In a behind-the-scenes video shared by Aamir Khan Productions, the actor was seen appealing to the singer not to retire, humorously questioning, “Please don’t do this, what will happen to the rest of us?”

While some celebrities, such as Shreya Ghoshal, stood in solidarity with Arijit’s decision, others made appeals for him to reconsider his retirement choice.
