Argentina is set to don their traditional sky blue and white home jersey for the FIFA World Cup final clash against Spain on Monday, as per reports from Argentine media sources. The defending champions opted for their navy blue away kit in the semifinal versus England but will now switch back to their iconic striped shirt, complemented by white shorts and socks, for the championship match.
Similarly, Spain will also return to their customary home colors after sporting their away kit against France in the semifinal. La Roja is expected to showcase their well-known red shirt paired with navy blue shorts and blue socks for the final showdown.
In terms of goalkeepers’ attire, Argentina’s Emiliano Martinez will stick to his usual all-green kit, while Spain’s Unai Simon is anticipated to sport a light blue ensemble.
During the tournament, Argentina has predominantly sported their home kit in matches against Algeria, Austria, Cape Verde, Egypt, and Switzerland. They only deviated from this for encounters against Jordan in the group stage and England in the semifinal, where they showcased their navy blue change kit. This alternative kit features intricate designs, vibrant colors, and motifs inspired by the traditional decorative art style of Buenos Aires known as “fileteado porteno.”
