-

The Nationalist ICT Forum (NICTF) has officially reconstituted its 101-member executive committee following an emergency general meeting held on Monday (29 June) at the auditorium of Club Notre Damians Bangladesh Limited in Banani, Dhaka.

The meeting featured extensive discussions on the forum’s overall activities, strengthening its organizational structure, and outlining its future strategic roadmap. Members unanimously approved the organization’s constitution, marking a significant milestone in institutionalizing the forum and ensuring a more structured, dynamic, and accountable organizational framework.

Following the adoption of the constitution, the existing committee was reorganized through a redistribution of responsibilities among current office bearers while incorporating several new, qualified, and active members to further enhance the forum’s effectiveness.

Under the newly reconstituted committee, Professor Dr. Shah J. Mia has been appointed as Acting President, Rowshan Kamal James as General Secretary, Reyad Hasnain as Joint Secretary, and Engineer Mohammad Jewel as Organizational Secretary.

The forum also announced its full 101-member committee, expressing optimism that the expanded leadership structure will strengthen the organization and enable it to more effectively represent ICT professionals, entrepreneurs, and technology experts across the country.

In another key decision, the meeting approved the opening of membership registration for general members. This initiative will allow interested ICT professionals, entrepreneurs, technologists, and other stakeholders to join the forum and contribute to its activities.

Addressing the meeting, speakers reaffirmed the Nationalist ICT Forum’s commitment to advancing Bangladesh’s information and communication technology sector, safeguarding the interests of ICT professionals, actively participating in policy discussions, and supporting the vision of building a technology-driven Bangladesh.

The meeting concluded with a call for all members to uphold unity, organizational discipline, and collaboration while working collectively to implement the forum’s future initiatives.
