The heads of the three military branches made a respectful visit to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Secretariat yesterday. General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, and Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, representing the Army, Navy, and Air Force respectively, met with the prime minister at his office within the Cabinet Division. The prime minister’s additional press secretary, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, confirmed the meeting, noting the presence of Prime Minister’s Adviser Brig Gen (retd) Dr AKM Shamsul Islam.
Furthermore, the prime minister conducted separate discussions with the heads of the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) and the National Security Intelligence (NSI). Tarique, for the second day in a row, commuted from his residence on Gulshan Avenue to the Secretariat, adhering to regular traffic regulations. The journey lasted approximately 41 minutes, as reported by Atiqur Rahman.
Upon Tarique’s arrival at the Secretariat, Cabinet Secretary Dr Nasimul Ghani and Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar greeted him.
