Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially invited Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to visit India at a convenient time agreed upon by both parties. The invitation was presented through a letter dated February 16, delivered by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla during a meeting with Tarique Rahman at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. Modi expressed a warm welcome to Tarique Rahman, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, and their daughter Zaima for a future visit to India.
In the letter, Modi congratulated Tarique Rahman on the Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s significant victory in the recent parliamentary elections and his subsequent appointment as Prime Minister. Modi praised the trust and support shown by the Bangladeshi people towards Tarique Rahman’s leadership and vision for the country’s progress towards peace, stability, and prosperity.
Highlighting the strong bond between India and Bangladesh based on historical and cultural connections, Modi emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation in developmental priorities for both nations.
