The Election Commission (EC) has released the breakdown of popular votes by party for the 13th National Parliamentary Election on February 12, 2026. According to the figures provided by the EC’s Election Management division, BNP garnered 3,74,68,994 votes, securing 209 seats. Jamaat-e-Islami received 2,38,25,259 votes, leading to victory in 68 seats.
Independent candidates emerged as the third-largest group in terms of total votes, amassing 43,39,238 votes and clinching seven seats. The National Citizen Party (NCP), established by student and youth leaders from the July uprising, claimed the fourth spot with 22,86,795 votes and six seats, participating in the Jamaat-led 11-party coalition.
Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis managed to secure two seats with 15,64,187 votes, while Khelafat Majlis captured one seat with 5,69,730 votes, both as part of the alliance. Islami Andolan Bangladesh secured one seat with 20,24,140 votes.
Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP) obtained one seat with 2,43,511 votes, Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) secured one seat with 1,05,779 votes, and Ganosamhati Andolon clinched one seat with 1,04,812 votes, all contesting under BNP’s electoral coalition.
The Jatiya Party received 6,62,428 votes but did not win any seats. Other parties in the election included Jamiate Ulama-e-Islam Bangladesh with 3,49,886 votes, Bangladesh Islami Front with 3,35,011 votes, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) with 2,59,469 votes, Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party) with 2,10,562 votes, and Bangladesh Development Party with 1,28,519 votes.
Furthermore, thirty-five parties received less than 1 lakh votes each. Notably, Sama Odikar Party garnered 169 votes, while Ganatantri Party received 191 votes. The EC specified that voting occurred in 42,651 centers spread across 299 constituencies, with results from individual polling centers released for 297 constituencies.
