Weird ITV rules Love Island All Stars cast have to follow including cooking regulation

-

Love Island: All Stars is back on our screens tonight (Monday, January 13) with 12 previous contestants returning to the show for a second chance at finding love.

As fans with baited breath to see who couples up with who, it’s been revealed that the villa inhabitants have been set a list of rules for things they can and cannot do when on the show and some of the regulations may surprise you.

According to researchers at online retailer Northerner, Islanders are no longer allowed to smoke or vape inside the villa and are limited to just two glasses of wine or beer a night.

This is a stark difference from the earlier seasons, as contestants would be seen gathering around a smoking area for gossip.

Vaping and smoking laws say that you can typically smoke and vape outdoors but this is still prohibited on the show and the stars have to leave the villa one at a time if they want to smoke.

Another odd rule that the Islanders have to follow is that they’re only allowed to prep one meal a day for themselves.

The episodes typically begin with the male islanders prepping hearty breakfasts for the lucky ladies, which can range from iced coffees to pancakes and avocado on toast.

However, if you’re thinking breakfast time is the only time you see islanders cooking, you’re probably right, as they’re only allowed to make their first meal of the day.

According to former show stars, there is a secret door in the larder that catering teams come through to bring in lunch and dinner for them.

The only other time that the contestants are seen in the kitchen is when a new bombshell walks in and they are tasked with choosing three stars to make them a starter, main course and dessert each.

ITV have also made sure that the reality stars aren’t allowed to chew gum while on the show as it could end up becoming a problem to identify what they’re saying with gum in their mouths.

Yet another rule that is in place is that the debriefs that are had each morning to discuss what happened the night before are not optional, they have to happen.

All islanders are instructed to split off into boys and girls to speak about the latest goings on in the villa.

However, if the conversation topics are deemed to be not relevant, producers are forced to step in to change the topic of discussion.

They’re also not allowed to speak about key topics while in the swimming pool, as this is the only time they don’t have mics on.

Love Island: All Stars starts tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
