Ukraine has recently taken delivery of a Patriot air defense system from Israel, as confirmed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. The system has been in operation for a month, with two additional Patriot systems expected to arrive in the upcoming months, according to Zelensky. He mentioned that Kyiv has submitted a list of desired weapons to Washington as part of a larger $90 billion arms procurement plan unveiled earlier in August. Responding to inquiries about reports regarding Ukraine’s purported interest in acquiring US long-range Tomahawk missiles, Zelensky stated that Kyiv is open to negotiating separate agreements for specific types of weaponry, including long-range options.
