“Tribunal” Legal Thriller Nearing Completion for Eid Release

-

“Tribunal,” a legal thriller inspired by a case under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act, 2001, is in its final stages, with approximately 75% of filming done. The movie delves into the complex dynamics of justice, ethics, and political influence.

The production team unveiled the project officially during a press briefing on Tuesday (December 9) at a city hotel, with the director and cast members present.

Director Raihan Khan shared, “‘Tribunal’ is taking a unique approach in its creation. We aim to wrap up the remaining shoot promptly. If all goes as planned, we target an Eid release. However, we won’t compromise on post-production quality even if it means a delay.”

Nusraat Faria takes on the lead role as a barrister – a trendy, astute graduate from London defending the defendant. The ensemble cast features Moushumi Hamid, Tania Brishty, Sayra Akhter Jahan, Ador Azad, Shahed Ali, Milon Bhattacharjee, and Rakib Hossain Evan, among others.

Moushumi Hamid expressed her enthusiasm for the project after being captivated by the storyline. “This is unlike any story I’ve encountered before. It’s a gripping murder-courtroom narrative with 26 witnesses and one eyewitness – a role I portray,” she shared.

Based on true events, the film is in its final stages of production. While most shooting is complete, the team is focused on concluding the remaining tasks and post-production promptly for a planned Eid-ul-Fitr release of “Tribunal.”
