A tragic incident unfolded at a Mormon church in Michigan as a man unleashed gunfire and ignited a fire on Sunday, resulting in the loss of at least four lives. This event, described by US President Donald Trump as part of a nationwide “epidemic of violence,” shook the community deeply.
Authorities in the northern region of the country revealed that the assailant initially crashed his vehicle into the church before proceeding to shoot with an assault rifle and subsequently setting the structure ablaze.
Law enforcement swiftly responded to the emergency, neutralizing the attacker in the church parking lot just eight minutes after the distress call was received. The individual responsible for the heinous act has been identified as 40-year-old Thomas Jacob Sanford, a local resident and military veteran, according to reports from US media outlets.
