Syed Mizanur Rahman, an experienced professional with nearly thirty years of expertise in the financial services field, has been named the managing director of Meghna Bank PLC, starting on December 4, 2025. Prior to this role, Rahman held the position of managing director and CEO at AB Bank, as per an official statement. His career began at Novartis, previously named Ciba-Geigy (Bangladesh) Limited, in 1993, followed by tenures at Youngone and Beximco before transitioning to the banking sector. With significant roles at Dhaka Bank, IPDC, Bank Al-Falah, and United Commercial Bank, Rahman has amassed broad experience spanning branch banking, retail services, process enhancement, business growth, and corporate communications within the banking domain. Rahman earned his MBA from the Institute of Business Administration at the University of Dhaka.
