Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s Magical Reunion

-

Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan stole the show as the host of the 2025 Filmfare Awards, creating unforgettable moments for fans. The 70th edition of the event, held in Ahmedabad, saw the movie “Laapataa Ladies” clinch an impressive 13 awards. However, the highlight of the night was the heartwarming reunion between Shah Rukh and his dear co-star and friend Kajol that set social media abuzz.

During the ceremony, Kajol took the stage to present an award when a magical transformation occurred—the stage bloomed with sunflowers and backup dancers appeared. Shortly after, Shah Rukh Khan made a grand entrance while the iconic track ‘Tujhe Dekha To Ye Jaana Sanam’ from “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” played. He danced to the beloved song, then knelt down to offer a rose to Kajol, recreating a memorable scene from the film.

The duo thrilled fans by dancing to “Ye Ladki Hai Deewani” from “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, with the film’s director and the evening’s co-host, Karan Johar, cheering them on from the sidelines.

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are celebrated as one of Bollywood’s most cherished on-screen pairs, last seen together in the 2016 film “Dilwale”. Fans couldn’t contain their admiration for their timeless chemistry, with one fan expressing, “Their magic never fades. I hope to see them in a new film soon—Karan Johar, make it happen!” Another viewer humorously remarked, “I’m just sad KJo didn’t join them on stage for a dance!”

Many fans observed that Shah Rukh Khan has been delivering more memorable moments at award shows than on the silver screen lately, especially with his recent on-stage reunions with Madhuri Dixit at the previous year’s IIFA Awards and now with Kajol. One comment mentioned, “We’re getting more thrilling SRK content from award ceremonies than from his movies these days. After Madhuri and Kajol, here’s hoping for reunions with Juhi, Aishwarya, and Preity next!”

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol first appeared together on screen in “Baazigar” (1993) and went on to feature in successful films like “Karan Arjun”, “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham”, and “Dilwale”. Their collaborations in the 1990s turned out to be massive box office hits, solidifying their position as one of Bollywood’s most iconic duos.
