A new accusation has surfaced from a second individual claiming that Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased US sex offender, arranged for her to meet with former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in the UK, as per a report by the BBC. The woman’s US attorney revealed to the broadcaster that the alleged encounter took place at the former prince’s residence on the Windsor estate near London in 2010 when she was in her twenties. This revelation follows the US Justice Department’s release of extensive new documents related to the Epstein case, which included photos of Andrew with a woman on the floor. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has expressed that the disgraced royal should cooperate with requests to testify before the US Congress regarding Epstein’s offenses.
According to Brad Edwards of the law firm Edwards Henderson in Florida, the woman claimed to have spent the night with Andrew and was later given a tour of Buckingham Palace. Edwards highlighted that there was communication between his client and the ex-prince prior to the alleged meeting, and he is contemplating initiating a civil lawsuit on her behalf. While the lawyer, who represents a large number of Epstein abuse survivors, did not respond immediately to AFP’s inquiry, Andrew has denied any misconduct related to Epstein but was unreachable for comment.
This development comes years after Virginia Giuffre, another Epstein accuser who has since passed away, made sexual assault allegations against the former Duke of York. Giuffre, a citizen of both the US and Australia, claimed she was trafficked to engage in sexual activities with Andrew on three occasions, including when she was 17. Following a legal challenge by Giuffre, Andrew settled with her for a substantial sum in 2022 without admitting any wrongdoing. King Charles III stripped Andrew of his royal titles and honors after Giuffre detailed the claims in a posthumous memoir last year.
Andrew, who is 65 years old, had distanced himself from royal duties in 2019 due to the accusations and his connections to Epstein. Despite Epstein’s criminal record, the former prince maintained their association until Epstein’s death by suicide in 2019 while in custody awaiting trial for underage sex crimes. Even prior to these recent allegations, Andrew faced renewed scrutiny following the US Justice Department’s disclosure of numerous new Epstein documents, which included pictures of him with a woman and emails proposing a dinner with a Russian woman in 2010.
