Bangladesh’s Saif Hassan has shown impressive improvement in the latest ICC T20I rankings, surging 17 positions to secure the 18th spot after a stellar unbeaten half-century in the final match against Afghanistan. The right-handed batsman has been in excellent form since the Asia Cup, with his recent performance propelling him to his career-best T20I ranking.
Significant changes occurred at the top of the T20I standings post the New Zealand-Australia series. Australian captain Mitch Marsh, showcasing exceptional form in the 2-0 series victory, soared 13 places to joint-10th among T20I batters after accumulating 197 runs from three innings with just one dismissal. New Zealand’s Tim Robinson also made a substantial leap, climbing 58 spots to share the 22nd position following his century in the series opener against Australia.
In the bowling department, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan climbed six spots to second place overall after a commendable performance against Bangladesh, trailing only India’s Varun Chakravarthy. Rashid’s teammates Noor Ahmad and Mujeeb Ur Rahman also progressed to 17th and 23rd positions respectively, while Australia’s Josh Hazlewood rose 10 places to 13th after claiming three wickets against New Zealand.
Moreover, the latest ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings showcased several Indian cricketers making strides after their dominant victory over West Indies in Ahmedabad. Pacer Mohammed Siraj ascended three spots to 12th after capturing seven wickets in the match, achieving a new career-best rating. Jasprit Bumrah retained his top spot as the No.1 Test bowler, while spinner Kuldeep Yadav jumped seven places to joint-21st after securing four wickets.
In the batting rankings, Ravindra Jadeja moved up six spots to 25th after an unbeaten century, and KL Rahul advanced four places to 35th. Joe Root maintained his lead in the Test batting charts.
Jadeja further solidified his position at the top of the Test all-rounder rankings, with his teammate Washington Sundar climbing four places to 11th.
