Pubali Bank PLC has recently inked a deal with global digital payment solutions provider Visa Worldwide Pte Ltd to kickstart promotional and marketing campaigns as well as various incentive programs aimed at enhancing the Visa card and point of sale (POS) acquiring business handled by the bank.
The agreement was signed at Pubali Bank PLC’s headquarters in Dhaka by Mohammad Ali, the managing director and chief executive officer of the bank, and Sabbir Ahmed, the Bangladesh country manager at Visa, as per an official press release. The event was also graced by Md Shahnewaz Khan, the deputy managing director of Pubali Bank PLC, and Arifur Rahman, the director of Visa overseeing South Asia, Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh.
In attendance were Endra Mohan Sutradhar, the general manager and chief technology officer in charge of the software development division; Md Helal Uddin, the general manager leading the ICT operation division; Ashim Kumar Roy, the general manager managing the card operation division; and Mohammad Liton Miah, the general manager, chief financial officer, and head of the central accounts division.
Furthermore, Md Rabiul Alam, the deputy general manager heading the ADC division; NM Firoz Kamal, the deputy general manager responsible for the card business division; Md Shamsul Alam, the assistant general manager overseeing the ADC division; and Md Sayeed Ahmmed, the assistant general manager of the ADC division, along with other senior officials from both entities, were also present at the event.
