Pori Moni’s exceptional performance as Supti in Anam Biswas’ “Rongila Kitab”, portraying a strong character navigating life’s challenges while pregnant, has garnered widespread praise. Her portrayal earned her the Best Actress accolade at the fourth edition of Blender’s Choice–The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2024.
Living with her two children, Punnyo and Priom, the celebrated actress received a heartwarming surprise at home following her victory.
Taking to Facebook to share the touching moment, she expressed, “Now they are the ones who greet me at home. Since Nanabhai’s passing, no one has welcomed me like this. Last night, upon my return with the award, both of them rushed into my arms as soon as the door opened. I couldn’t ask for more in life. I only pray that this happiness remains untouched by any negativity. My life is truly beautiful and fulfilling, akin to a fairytale. Alhamdulillah.”
During the award ceremony on Sunday (September 7), Pori Moni reflected on her role, stating, “Throughout my life, I have received numerous awards, and I may receive more in the future. However, this one holds a special place in my heart. It is unique because it honors my portrayal of a mother, a role I was personally experiencing at the time. It allowed me to relive the journey of my own motherhood.”
