A Pakistani naval vessel named PNS Saif has docked at Chittagong port for a four-day goodwill visit to Bangladesh. The chief staff officer of the Chattogram Naval Area extended a warm welcome to the ship’s crew on behalf of the CNA commander. A ceremonial welcome was carried out with the navy’s elaborately dressed band performing in line with customary practices.
Notably, high-ranking local naval authorities and representatives from the Pakistan High Commission in Bangladesh were in attendance to greet the visiting ship, as per an ISPR press statement. Throughout their sojourn in Bangladesh, the ship’s commanding officer and other officials are slated to engage in courtesy meetings with the CNA commander, BN Fleet commander, and the dockyard’s area superintendent.
Furthermore, the officers, sailors, and trainees aboard the visiting ship will explore various historical and tourist landmarks in Chattogram, in addition to touring Bangladesh Navy vessels and facilities. Reciprocally, Bangladeshi Navy personnel will be hosted on the Pakistani vessel during this exchange.
The press release highlighted that the visit of the Pakistan Navy ship is anticipated to bolster the amicable bilateral relations between the two nations.
