“Netflix Announces ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ Premiere Dates”

-

Netflix has announced the upcoming release of “Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man”, the highly anticipated film that continues the Birmingham crime saga after four years since the series finale. Scripted by creator Steven Knight and helmed by director Tom Harper, the movie reunites the Shelby family in a world overshadowed by war and old adversaries.

Although Cillian Murphy initially thought he had bid farewell to Tommy Shelby, the character, as per the actor, had unfinished business with him. Murphy expressed his satisfaction in collaborating once again with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film adaptation of ‘Peaky Blinders’, emphasizing that this project is a special treat for the fans, as stated to Netflix.

The narrative is set in Birmingham, circa 1940, against the backdrop of the tightening grip of the Second World War on Europe. Tommy, residing in self-imposed isolation post the series events, is compelled to return to his roots when the chaos of war collides with unresolved issues from his past. According to Knight, the ensuing storyline promises an intense chapter featuring the Peaky Blinders embroiled in wartime conflicts without any restrictions.

The cast is led by Murphy and includes a mix of familiar faces and notable newcomers such as Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Ian Peck, Jay Lycurgo, Barry Keoghan, and Stephen Graham. The addition of these actors hints at a more complex and ambitious wartime plot.

“Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man” is scheduled to premiere in selected cinemas on March 6, 2026, followed by a global launch on Netflix on March 20, 2026.
