Mymensingh kicked off their National Cricket League (NCL) journey impressively by securing a draw in their first match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. After Sylhet gained an 88-run lead in the initial innings, Mymensingh reached 58 without any loss by the close of Day Three. Naim Sheikh contributed 58 runs, while Ariful Islam, who scored a century in the first innings, led with 62 runs as Mymensingh concluded at 272 for nine, ensuring a draw.
Over at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium, Chattogram triumphed over the hosts by a 112-run margin. Starting the day at 219 for four, Rajshahi’s Pritom Kumar fell short of a century, being dismissed for 83, with Shakhir Hossain adding 52 runs. Rajshahi was eventually all out for 370. Hasan Murad secured three wickets, and Nayeem Hasan claimed two, sealing Chattogram’s victory.
In another match, Dhaka and Rangpur settled for a draw at the Sylhet Academy Ground. Jishan Alam came close to a century, falling short at 97 as Dhaka was bowled out for 333. In pursuit of 197 runs, Rangpur reached 115 for six before play was halted early on Day Four due to poor light. Ripon Mondol and Taibur Rahman each grabbed two wickets for Dhaka.
