NCC Bank PLC has introduced a new digital service called “A-Chalan,” allowing customers to make payments for various government fees, such as passport fees, income tax, VAT, customs duties, and surcharges, through the online A-Chalan platform.
The launch of the service took place at NCC Bank PLC’s headquarters in Motijheel, Dhaka, with M Shamsul Arefin, the managing director of the bank, officiating the event. Arefin described the introduction of the government fee payment service via the online A-Chalan platform as a significant achievement for NCC Bank in the digital banking sector.
He emphasized that this initiative will streamline and expedite the payment process for customers, thereby enhancing convenience and efficiency in government revenue collection. Arefin highlighted the bank’s commitment to ensuring the utmost satisfaction for its clientele through such innovative services.
With the new digital platform, customers now have the flexibility to settle these fees anytime and from anywhere using the bank’s internet banking system. It is important to note that the traditional over-the-counter payment option offered through the Bangladesh Bank’s Automated Challan System will continue to be available as usual.
Key executives from NCC Bank PLC, including M Khurshed Alam, additional managing director, and several deputy managing directors and senior vice-presidents, participated in the launch event. The presence of key figures from different departments within the bank underscored the significance of the new digital service in enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.
