Nagad Limited, the mobile financial service division of the Bangladesh Postal Department, achieved a new milestone in October by processing transactions exceeding Tk 34,705 crore. This achievement was largely fueled by government allowance distributions, with the Department of Social Services and the Department of Women Affairs disbursing allowances to 79 lakh beneficiaries through Nagad. Various services like cash-in, cash-out, fund transfers, payments, and mobile recharges also contributed to the surge in transaction volume, solidifying Nagad’s position as a prominent MFS provider in the country.
Expressing gratitude to its extensive network of millions of registered customers, Nagad acknowledged their role in reaching this record-breaking monthly figure. Established as a trusted and popular mobile financial service provider in Bangladesh, Nagad has witnessed significant growth in both its customer base and transaction volume over the years.
Building on this positive trajectory, Nagad has surpassed its previous transaction records, surpassing Tk 34,000 crore in March 2025 and Tk 32,000 crore in June 2024. Md Motasem Billah, Nagad’s administrator, credited the collective efforts of customers, employees, entrepreneurs, and partners for this success, emphasizing the importance of shared vision and dedication in achieving excellence.
Highlighting Nagad’s commitment to enhancing services and ensuring customer trust, Billah emphasized the continuous improvement in customer confidence under the current management board. The month of October also saw Nagad achieve its highest single-day transaction volume on October 15, amounting to Tk 1,645 crore.
Through a focus on innovation and customer-centric services, Nagad has been able to rapidly expand its user base, attracting new customers daily through its mobile app.
