Minister Plans Reevaluation of Journalist Accreditation

-

The Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Zahir Uddin Swapan, has confirmed that cases involving journalists who were unfairly denied accreditation cards will be reevaluated. In addition, he revealed plans to establish a journalist database for access to the Secretariat.

These statements were made by the minister today during an interactive session organized by the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum (BSRF) at the Media Centre within the Secretariat premises. The event was overseen by BSRF President Masudul Hoque and facilitated by General Secretary Ubaidullah Badol.

Swapan mentioned that he has already engaged in talks with the Home Minister to streamline journalists’ entry into the Secretariat. “We will make a final decision on this matter after seeking input from you (journalists) as well,” he stated.
