Meta has introduced a new integrated support center feature on its Facebook app, consolidating a range of assistance and security tools into a unified location. Users can find this feature by selecting their profile picture in the app’s lower right corner and navigating to the ‘Support’ menu, which now offers options like checking account security, receiving profile enhancement suggestions, and viewing monetization status, among others. The rollout of this hub is currently happening worldwide on both iOS and Android platforms.
The purpose of this support center, available on Instagram as well, is to streamline access to account assistance. Users can address issues and locate answers through a search function driven by Meta’s AI technology. Meta is also experimenting with an AI support assistant within the Facebook hub to deliver tailored guidance for tasks such as account recovery.
This launch is a component of Meta’s broader security enhancements, as reported by the company. Meta indicates that instances of new account breaches have declined by over 30% globally across its platforms in the last year, which it credits to enhanced AI systems. Moreover, Meta notes that the effectiveness of recovering compromised accounts has risen by more than 30% in the US and Canada this year, leveraging methods like adaptive verification and optional selfie video confirmation.
