Juventus have reportedly selected Luciano Spalletti as their next head coach, according to Italian media sources. The club is expected to make the official announcement either later today or tomorrow.
Following a series of disappointing results, Juventus parted ways with head coach Igor Tudor after their winless streak of eight matches across all competitions, as confirmed by the Serie A club earlier this week. Despite requests for comments, the club has not provided any immediate response.
Spalletti, a former Italian national team coach, mentioned in an interview on Tuesday that he had not yet been approached by Juventus regarding the managerial position. However, he expressed his eagerness to return to coaching after his underwhelming stint with the Italian national team. Speaking at an event in Milan, Spalletti stated his interest in the opportunity to get back into management. He also noted that any manager would be thrilled to take on the Juventus role.
Reports suggest that the official confirmation of Spalletti’s appointment could be made following the Juventus-Udinese match scheduled for 1730 GMT on Wednesday.
